Understanding the Effective Stunning Zone

Only the area directly between the positive and negative electrodes constitutes the effective stunning zone. The bird must remain within continuous effective stunning throughout the entire water bath to ensure proper stunning results.

Angle Between Hook and Rail

This angle should not be perfectly vertical. A slight angle should be maintained so that after hanging, the hook makes tighter contact with the rail, improving conductivity and ensuring continuous stunning. Otherwise, frequent bouncing, intermittent stunning, and poor consistency may occur.

Stunning Bath Width Requirements

The width of the stunning bath should correspond to the chain speed and bird size. Avoid water level displacement during operation, which can cause breast and wing immersion, creating secondary stunning circuits that lead to pinpoint hemorrhages on the breast and bruising at wing tips and roots.

Relationship Between Bird's Head and Conductive Plate

The conductive plate should be made of stainless steel or round bar, welded into 8–10 cm square grid pattern, covering the entire bottom of the water bath. A conductive bar should also be welded across the front and back of the bath at the position where the bird's head hangs down, ensuring continuous stunning contact.
